Broke my mountain bike on September 9th i believe. Still looking to get that fixed, but i'm pretty sure i'll end up getting a new one (well, new to me, used before me) shortly after spring break. $200 Kona Coilair, basically a beast, so i'll likely be getting into a lot of heavier downhill riding. October rolls around, my birthday as well, went home for the weekend just before my birthday (20 years old as of October 7, 2008) and hung out with a long lost friend from senior year. Her and I went for a date (i'm pretty sure that's what it was) at panera bread, nothing much but enough to get things started i'm pretty sure. Halloween rolls around and her and i went to the movies out in brattleboro, and that i'd surely classify as a date (considering the distance). Thanksgiving break we went to the Nashua Holiday Stroll, had a good time, it was simple entertainment that night. Winter Break her and i went for a date to a nice italian restaraunt then some candlepin bowling (so romantic right ¬_¬?) and before you know it i'm back out in keene. Valentines Day was our next date, and she came out here, where i treated her to what i consider romantic. Watched the sun set over the mountains while standing on a footbridge over a waterfall (insert first kiss with her here). Then we went downtown to a small restaurant and had a nice dinner. After that we came to my dorm and watched a movie (Wanted for those who were wondering). Then she went home after another simple kiss.
My grades last semester weren't so stellar so it's a shock i'm back out here to begin with, but i'll take what i can. I enjoy this campus enough to make it worthwhile. It's been an odd semester though because things are melding together so much. Not sure how to describe it, but... meh. OH, I did find out where i'm living next year which is awesome. I'm living in an on-campus 2 floor apartment with my current roommate, a friend from the third floor, and a good friend from back home who goes here too, so i'm pumped.
One major detail i've left out of this is in the spring of last year i joined a club on campus G2 (Gamers Guild) which is my nerdy video gamer vent. It's been lots of fun, but of course with groups like that comes drama, and i do believe that to this day many members hold a grudge against me for drama that occured during november, and in many cases the grudges are more like major fucking annoyances, so it's weird hanging out in the presence of enemies a lot (many of which i can spot clearly, and most of which entirely cover up their grievences with me even though i can see them still). Whatever the case is, i hope that they clear up these issues they have with me soon, either by talking to me or getting over it, because it's a pain, it's a distraction, and no-one likes drama.
So overall prognosis on the past year (including details intentionally missed for the sake of either confidentiality or time of night) is average. Every year has it's ups and downs, but just because things don't always work right doesn't mean that they are going to be a complete bust. You can always walk away from a bad time with lots of moral, intellectual, and personal gain.
Side note, does anyone have 350 dollars for me? I need to learn how to save money, and that Kona Coilair isn't going to buy itself haha.
